Be BiteSmart is an educational initiative of the Center for Canine Behavior Studies founded by Dr. Nicholas Dodman and Chris Janelli. It is specifically tasked to create age-appropriate multimedia teaching materials to reduce and prevent the risk of dog bites to our most at risk, children. Family dogs are our trusted friends however, when provoked, threatened, confused or scared they can and do bite to protect themselves. By understanding how dogs communicate and interpreting their behavior, can help us recognize early warning signs and adjust our actions to prevent bites before they occur.

I am proud to contribute to this first animated video lesson alongside Dr. Nicholas Dodman. "Paws to Prevent" is the first of ten animated videos created for young children and their parents. FableVision produced this video animation for the educational initiative BeBiteSmart, which is part of the Center for Canine Behavior Centers.
